Hi! Well it's time for a new show so I've taken the January 2008 show down and put this one up. I have put my previous shows into separate galleries that you can access by clicking on the appropriate tab shown at the end of this show e.g. the 2007 show is in Gallery #8.
For the home page, I selected a view of Westport Point, a familiar sight for us as we travel down to Horseneck Beach.
The subject of this show is a mixture of winter and farm scenes mostly of my favorite part of the country, Western New York State. Browse at your leisure and enjoy..

The penguins may indeed wonder about what is going on. Researchers from a number of countries use this icebreaker,the Ry Polarstern, to conduct large scale experiments in the Artic.

Of course, back when men were men, exploring the artic was not so comfortable.

Early Snow

My wife hates this scene as it is a harbinger of things to come. She hates winter but, I love it for the skiing it brings.

Winter Snow

O.K. Now the weather begins to get serious. It sure is pretty though.

Feeding Time

It's a little more work now. Got to keep the stock fed.

Looks like snow is on the way

This barn has seen better days. Whoa ! I'd better fix that fence before the stock starts wandering out.

Hmmm! That fence is down. I think I'll get my pals and go for a walk.

Scraping By

Farms and barns are fun to paint and wage nostalgic over but, farming is a hard life. This family is just scraping by.
